Vehicle overview

In July 2014, Mazda unveiled the third-generation Mazda2 hatchback.

The Mazda2 (Demio) uses Mazda’s Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic and Skyactiv-MT 5-and 6-speed manual gearboxes as well as stop-start technology.

This model uses an i-ELOOP” regenerative braking system to charge a capacitor for all car electronics, in place of an alternator charging a battery.

The Mazda2 offers a 1.3 and 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
